CALL TO WORSHIP

The pastor reads a passage from the Bible acknowledging it is God who calls and invites us as His people to worship him reverently and joyfully.

Songs of Praise

God has given us the gift of music and song to engage our hearts and minds, and to encourage and instruct one another. Together, we sing of who God is and what He’s done for us at the opening of our worship service as well as in response to the declaration of pardon and the sermon.

Confession of Sin & Declaration of Pardon

We pray and repent of the ways we’ve sinned in thought, word, and deed and ask God for forgiveness. We then receive words assuring us of God’s gracious pardon which was secured for us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

Confession of Faith

We declare what we believe by reciting a creed or catechism, which are summaries of the Christian faith. The confession of faith reminds us of the unity all Christians have throughout all of history and the world.

SERMON

God speaks to us as the pastor accurately explains and practically applies a portion of the Bible. We believe the whole Bible ultimately points us to the character and saving work of Jesus Christ.

The Lord’s Supper (Communion)*

God feeds us spiritually and strengthens our faith as we eat the bread and drink from the cup, which represent the body and blood of Jesus. This is something Christians do together as a church community in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice for the forgiveness of our sins.

* At Christ Central, we are currently only conducting communion in-person at our Drive-in services. If you would like to learn more about our Drive-in services, click here.

BENEDICTION

At the close of the worship service, the pastor pronounces God’s blessing upon His people from the Bible.

We hope to see you at our next service!

If you would like to learn more about Christianity, we also invite you to join our What We Believe class, which we offer every other month.
